THE SOLAR LAB

`` We are five Research Scholars from INDIA and SRILANKA doing a research Internship at WESTERN NORWAY UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES (HVL), BERGEN, NORWAY under collaborative research projects lead by Professor Dhayalan Velauthapillai, HVL, Norway. Our research projects focuses on Third Generation solar cells with an aspiration to build an eco friendly, cheap and flexible solar cell for a clean energy environment.

"LETS GO GREEN TO GET OUR GLOBE GREEN" - SOLAR ENERGY....

Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) and Perovskites have become a topic of significant research in the recent years because of their imperative role in the zone of harvesting energy from the renewable source, and it appears to be a promising candidate for the triumph because of its low cost, flexibility, aesthetic appearance and ease of preparation.

Natural Dyes from the Plant and Algal pigments are effectively used as sensitizers for the fabrication of DSSC. The preparation of natural dye from the rose petals, the fabrication of natural DSSC and their advantage over other generation solar cells are emphasized in our Podcast. Also the advancements in the field of Perovskite and DSSC with the introduction of new materials and their coupled effect with the utilization of nano materials are featured in the Podcast.
